Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci, Florence

Looking for a review from anyone who has stayed in this hotel. And Hotel Il Guelfo Bianco. We'll be in Firenze in Oct.

Although Fodors has removed some of the older user reviews - - and there are none from the past nine months, Beacci Tornabuoni has consistently received the highest quantity of the highest rankings on Fodors Rants'n'raves

http://www.fodors.com/miniguides/mgr...m?destination=
florence@63&cur_section=lod&property_id=66 304#user_reviews

(note: this is all one URL - - I put a carriage return after "destination=" for line beral reasons - - you will need to "put it back together&quot.

Or you can find this by clicking on "Hotels" (on the top line of this forum), then "Europe", "Florence", etc.

Best wishes,

Rex

We have stayed at the Tournabuoni Beacci twice and I recommend it highly. It is on the top 2-3 stories of a very old building and has large rooms, mostly decorated in the Florentine style. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace - there are great views.

Thx rex, mamc. The hotel site at Italyby.com (Florenceby.com too) looks magnificent so I was confident we'd be pleased! And a rooftop terrace is a must!
BTW, what does ttt mean?!

We have stayed at the Beacci four times, it is our favorite hotel in Italy.

Great location, excellent staff and service. Angelo and team will make you feel right at home.

Rooms are of varying sizes, if you can swing it I would recommend booking deluxe (or superior) rooms vs. standard as they are larger (but all are very nicely decorated). You can navigate on their website www.bthotel.it to see a diagram of each floor which will give you a good idea of the different room sizes and locations, as well as photos of most.

You will love the rooftop terrace. I'm not sure if they serve dinner in October but if so, I would recommend (either in the dining room or terrace if it's warm enough). We had a fabulous meal there on one of our visits.

Katerbug,

www.bthotel.it, skip intro, click hospitality, once on hospitality, click visit with us. As you click on each floor a map of that floor appears. Click on the box in the small map above the help box and you can drag around the floor to see rooms displayed on the right. Several rooms have pictures you can then click on for detailed views.

Room 204 is their beautiful wedding suite on the third floor. We've stayed in #20 on the fourth floor and #30 on the fifth floor, they are both lovely.

I hope this helps. If you're still having trouble, let me know.
