hotel suggestions for London

We will be spending 3 nights in London in Sept. Our price range is around $150-200 per night. Would love any suggestions from other travelers.
Thanks

There are probably a thousand threads on here answering your question. Now granted, the search function is not the best - but do try it. Much better than re-inventing the wheel 6 times a day.

You might start by clicking in United Kingdom which will display a TON of threads to get you started . . . . .

And here's a link to the London Superthread, which has all kinds of useful information for planning a trip to London - including info on accommodations.

I don't mind reinventing the wheel a bit.

londontown.com presently has some good rates in your range at hotels that frequently get mentioned here:

Dolphin Square
Copthorne Tara
Jurys Kensington
Hotel Russell
Thistle Kensington Park
Thistle Victoria

If you're willing to use Priceline, you'll get an even better rate, probably in the $80-$110 per night range for a 4 star hotel (including a number of those listed above). biddingfortravel.com is showing the Waldorf Hilton with winning bids of $110/night in Sept. Great price.

Try the Reubens at the Palace. Great hotel with nice friendly staff.

We enjoy the Holiday Inn Kensington, and also the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum. Great location, within quick(5min) walking distance to Natural History Museum, V&A museum and more. The tube is across the street from the hotel and there are plenty of places to eat in that area as well. There is also a Waitrose grocery store across form the hotel as well.
Happy planning,
Travelatte

Hi
IMO, londontown.com is great for browsing, but I've not seen any rate there that wouldn't be matched by contacting the hotel directly.

elaine, Good advice to see if the hotel would give you a better rate. My point was to name some hotels that generally get positive reviews here that were in the OP's budget range.
