hotel reservation etiquette in paris
We are going to Paris in November for 10 days & want to work in a trip to Normandy for a couple of days in the middle of the trip. Do I have to keep my hotel room in Paris the whole time or can we stay for several days, check out & then check back in, storing my luggage at the hotel?

I am getting ready to make my reservations (at the Millesime) & don't want to be the ignorant American-Thanks, Amy

Amy,

hotels are normally ok about you leaving luggage if you are checking back in (most don't charge (just make sure it is locked and that you don't leave anything valuable in there).
If you tell the staff when you book what your plans are I am sure they will accommodate you.

cheers

I second Jody's opinion of Remy of the Millsime Hotel. He is so helpful. I am sure that he will be able to assist you. Do not worry about being an "ignorant American". Believe us, the staff at the Millesime Hotel treats each guest's questions and concerns with courtesy. No matter how trivial my questions were, they were answered promptly and in a friendly way. You know how some hotel staff are so stuffy, you're afraid to ask anything? Well, not at the Millesime-it's different.
