Hotel Recommendations in Bunratty/Killarney/Waterford/ Dublin
Our travel agent has recommended the following accomodations for our trip to Ireland in August. (We're staying two nights in each location.) Two Mile Inn near Bunratty, Killarney Court Hotel, Waterford Castle and Stephen's Green Hotel in Dublin. Has anyone stayed at any of these hotels? Are they good or are there others you would recommend instead?

Terri,
While I've not stayed at any of the accommodations mentioned, allow me to offer a couple places, both of which are exceptionally well run:
Clifden House is located in Corofin, East Clare, about a 45-minute drive from Shannon Airport. This accommodation is situated not too far from Bunratty, and makes for an ideal place to stay (do try to stay for at least two nights) at the start or end of your Irish holiday. Learn more at www.clifdenhouse-coclare.ie
Annestown House: Like Clifden House, Annestown is located in a quiet - oh so quiet - part of Ireland. Still, Annestown isn't too far a drive from Waterford City and, yes, the Crystal. the house is right on the coast, offers first-rate dinners and breakfasts, and a warm welcome. Check out www.annestown.com
Best of luck.

Hi Terri,
Have stayed at Stephen's Green and Trinity Lodge in Dublin - both are good choices.
If you can splurge in the Bunratty area you may want to consider Dromoland Castle. It is the best of the best in Ireland, but a bit on the expensive side.
Have a great time.

Waterford Castle is beautiful. Probably a little expensive for what they do but the location on an island - you take a short ferry ride - is magical. By the way try to take the ocean drive in County Waterford rather than the major route - memorable!
