Opinions/help on Dublin-Edinburgh-London Itinerary
This is a prospective itinerary for 2 wks for 2 golfers (husband and 18 yo son) and me. "Golf days" leave some hours for sightseeing in afternoon. Your opinions, please...

Day 1 Arrive London, change airlines to
arrive in Dublin by midday
Day 2 Golf in North Dublin
Day 3 Sightsee in Dublin
Day 4 Golf a bit south of Dublin
Day 5 Early flight to Edinburgh
Day 6 Golf near Edinburgh
Day 7 Midday depart for St. Andrews
(3 nights in St. Andrews)
Day 8 Golf near St. Andrews
Day 9 Golf near St. Andrews
Day 10 Early departure for London
(Travel problem here--train, plane?)
Day 11 London
Day 12 London
Day 13 London
Day 14 Depart for US

(Note: Husband and son are meeting me in Ireland after I attend a conference there)

Thanks truly for any comments. We have been out of the country, but never in Scotland or London, never w/ golf clubs to tote, never with our son. So...I am a bit nervous.

Sandy

Oh, oh...too many things to see and do. I have been in Dublin before, and the guys are really more interested in golf, So, maybe cut a day in Dublin and spend it in Edinburgh? That would give the guys three half days and eves in Dublin by dropping day 3?? Your opinions? Thanks. S

Sandy, me again. Yes, I would do what you could to add time to Edinburgh. I was underwhelmed with London and found two-three days more than enough before I wanted to get out. Edinburgh I stayed a week and wished for longer; it was just so comfortable (small-big city feel, and so clean!) and the people were incredibly friendly that I didn't want to leave. I've lived in Dublin, so I know that if you've been before you've probably done most of what there is to see.

Good luck!
