Hotel rec for Milan

Anyone have a recommendation for a hotel in Milan? I will be arriving from MXP , I have a full day in Milan during which I plan to see the usual sights, and then I'm leaving by train. So somewhere convenient to the Duomo or train station would be ideal. Price range 100-150 euros. TIA.

I found the Hotel Milano Scala convenient for a short stay in Milan. Depending on your dates, it should be in or close to your price range. I took a taxi from Milano Centrale and upon departure I was flying out of MXP. I simply walked to Milano Cadorna from the hotel (about 15-20 minutes) and got to the airport that way.

It's about 5 minutes walking to the Brera Gallery and in the other direction about 5 minutes to La Scala. Fifteen minutes to the Duomo, 20 to Santa Maria delle Grazie, around the same to Sant'Ambrogio--but of course these places are all close to each other.

But there are many, many choices in Milan.

Rates in Milan vary widely depending on dates. When there's a trade show in town(and there are many) or it's fashion week, prices go up. You should peruse booking.com for your dates, even if you make your reservation directly with a hotel.

I like the Antica Locando Leonardo, 3 star, family run hotel with superior service. Ten minute walk to Cadorna, twenty minutes to the Duomo.

We very much liked the NH Collection Milan President; 5 minute walk to the Duomo. But the suggestions above sound great.

We've stayed at the Hotel Gran Duca di York a couple of times and loved it. It's a short walk from the duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle. The superior rooms with balcony are quiet and spacious. https://www.ducadiyork.com/en/hotel-...entre/1-0.html

We were very happy with the Hotel Berna which is walking distance to the train station. It is an older facility but clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. The staff were very nice and helpful. I would happily return.

Hotel Berna is also a good suggestion; stayed there a while back and yes, short walk from Milano Centrale (several hotels are in the neighborhood); it has a fabulous breakfast buffet. The price was up a bit last time I checked, but as said above it depends on when you go and whether a convention is in town.
