Hotel Poseidon- which room?
We will be staying at Hotel Poseidon in May. I've reserved a junior suite but am now wondering if we should splurge for a 2-room suite. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's stayed in either room. Their rooms don't look overly-fantastic on their website but this hotel has gotten great reviews. Thanks in advance for any help.

PattyB,
would you care to elaborate where that hotel is located?
Just a hint: Even though you may limit your post to one particular country here on this forum, there are no separate forums for each country and your post will come up in a general area where questions regarding any European country can be asked.
Thus, clarifying the headline will bring you greater chances of success!
Good luck

We stayed at the Poseidon. I don't remember what kind of room was reserved, but we had a balcony facing the water. Very nice! The whole hotel was very attractive. Nice pool. Another good thing about Poseidon is the food...very good. We had several lunchs and two dinners in addition to breakfast everyday. But the best is the spa. Do take advantage of the massage and facials.

PattyB,
Excellent choice!! This is one of our favorite hotels. We've stayed a few times in one of their jr. suites, which are simply decorated,(actually the enormous bathrooms are more majestic than the rooms!) but have sizeable balconies overlooking town.
What makes this hotel so great is the service, views, and incredible food ( which is some of the best we've ever had in Italy). Because the hotel is small, the staff goes out of their way to make you feel like a returning house guest.
My only complaint is the pool. I see that one poster thinks the pool was fine, but to me it's nothing more than an oversized bathtub. Still, there is a lovely sunning terrace linked to the restaurant, and the views over town are unforgettable.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

Thanks so much for the info. I'm going to leave our room arrangements as they are--and try to stop obsessing over this trip. Everything is planned & booked and now we just have to wait, which is the hardest part. The end of May seems years away instead of a few months. This forum has been invaluable and so informative. Thanks again.
