Hotel Pertschy in Vienna

I heard that there is construction going on near the Hotel Pertschy. Is that true? Should I look for another hotel to stay in when I am visiting Vienna in early October?

Have stayed there several years ago, loved the location and would definitely stay there again. If the construction is on the street you may ask for a room at the back of the hotel, our room originally faced the street but after one night, lots of street noise, we asked to be moved to a quiter room for the upcoming week. The room change was fine and no noise what so ever.

I was on that street several days ago. No construction along this area. You probably read that the area of Graben, the shopping pedsetrian zone, not too far away has mjor renovation. This does not directly cause any problem for the Pertschy .
The bus 1 A is temporarily re routed down this street but that should be no trouble and this bus does not run in the evening.
Of course , I was not inside this pension /hotel but I doubt any work would be done in the middle of an important travel season.

Hi

Checked Trip Advisor. A review posted in mid July reported the hotel as quiet.

Hi Farrel - Did you end up staying at the Pertschy? How was the construction/noise level there?

Thanks!

Never mind - I see that you'll be there in October, so you haven't even gone yet

See other posting here about construction in Vienna.
The Pertschy is on a one way narrow street not affected at anytime by construction.
The nearest construction is on the pedestrain zone Graben some distance away and would ot cause any problem at the Pertschy.
