Hotel near St Tropez/Cote d'Azur area 1hr radius. Suggestions for romantic getaway

Hello

I'm looking for suggestions for a nice hotel in or around St Tropez / Port Grimaud area. 1hour radius by car. Budget Euro 200-300/night but flexible.

Situation is that we have rented an apartment in Port Grimaud from 16 June for 10 days. My parents are coming to stay and therefore my husband and I want to get away for a special night or two on our own why the grandparents babysit.

Therefore I need a hotel either in or within a 1 hour radius of the area. No preference for seaside or countryside. But something nice for some romance. Can increase the budget if necessary.

Thanks for your help.

Check the Beauvallon and its private shuttle(by sea) to Saint Tropez.

keep in mind that in June there is such a trafic jam that sometimes you need one hour just from Grimaud to Saint Tropez....

Maybe have a look at Villa Marie in Ramatuelle; www.villamarie.fr. I have not stayed in that particular hotel, but know the hotels owned by the same people in Megeve, and they are wonderful.

In addition to Tulip's post: Ramatuelle is a very pretty and scenic village.
Another one that used to be very good (it's been a while) is La Mandarine in St. Tropez (www.hotellamandarine.com)

I'm not sure how far it is by car from St Tropez, but high on the cliff between Nice and Monte Carlo is the little town of Eze, with the MOST AMAZING VIEWS and gorgeous restaurants! Enjoy.

Eze is too far; two hour drive if you're lucky.

If you prefer to stay inside St Tropez itself, here's a wonderful hotel right in the central square where people relax to play boule. There's a few good restaurants and clubs around the square as well.

If $$$ is no object, stay at

Hotel Byblos or
Hotel Yacca

Both located in St Tropez.

Hi All - many thanks for your suggestions so far. Good options and will look more closely in the next day. We are in St Remy de Provence and no easy internet access.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Will let you know how we go.

Thanks alot.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions - very helpful. Called a number of the places suggested and as a result of accessing location, cost and availability etc, we've booked LA PINÈDE-PLAGE in La Croix-Valmer (it's related to the Chateau de Valmer).

My parents have arrived in Port Grimaud, where we're staying at the moment, so we have baby sitters, YEH!.

We're booked in for Thursday night so I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks again.
