Hotel King, Rome

Has anyone information, first hand or otherwise, about this hotel in Rome on the Via Sistina?

Did you stay there? Mixed reviews but still sounds like great location. PLEASE let me know if you stayed there - as we bid $125 a night in late may and got it!
Thanks,
Nancy

Nicenancy, did you read the reviews at BiddingForTravel.com ? Those are pretty bad. The ones on TripAdvisor.com are better, though. Since you can probably get along without air conditioning, that will solve one big issue.

Dear Willtravel,
Yes, I did read them and will use them to hopefully get as good a room as we can get. I checked on average temp and we Floridians don't need A/C at those temps and happily, I have short hair and do not need a hair dryer. I certainly will pack some cleaner for the bathroom though! Look for my trip report in late June!

We did stay at the KIng for two nights recently. We were meeting friends there.
I would not have stayed at a place like this especially after having read a few bad reviews, I was apprehensive to say the least.
I am happy to report that the hotel is just fine. The rooms were clean, the linens were fresh, the toiletries were present, and new. The elevator is TINY, and the hallway to our room was a hike (it seems like a few buildings were joined together, so as you walk down the hall, there are two steps up, then four steps down, then three up again).
The breakfast was typical, but plentiful. Thje coffee is terrible, very weak. But they will make espresso or cappacino on request,
The desk clerk is weird, but friendly. And not even a bit capable of helping navigate the city
They location is GREAT
we paid 99Euro plus aliquota.
All in all, I would stay here again
