Going to Venice and Lake Como in July. Any feedback on hotel Regina Olga in Cernobbio? Any other hotel suggestions in Lake Como and Venice?

At Lago Como you want to be further north--Bellagio, Mennagio, or Varenna.
As for Venice, I would search here for dozens of good posts on that topic.

I think what Bob is trying to say is that the so-called mid-lake area of Lake Como may be more convenient for you in terms of getting back and forth across the lake on the ferries and for reaching it in the first place. But that may not be as important to you as it is to others. We'll be in Menaggio later this week and I would be staying there regardless of what others said..so don't change your mind based on one feedback comment.

I liked Cernobbio, better than Bellagio, but next time I will stay in Varenna.

In Bellagio the Hotel Belvedere. Beautiful setting, spectacular service.

In Venice the 'Pensione Academia', ask for romm in remodeled section....may be hard to ge reservation this late!

area, however in Venice, much..
Have used the SATURNIA,DO POZZI, ALA,
LA FENICE & GABRIELLI SANDWIRTH, all close to S. Marco...
Others at the ACCADEMIA, MARCONI, KETTE
BISANZIO,and FLORA, have all beenmentioined favorably ...go into www.veniceinfo.it/ for better descri;tions of these hotels and others.

Dont know what your budget it, but we stayed at Hotel Galleria in Venice and loved it, great price, and great location. Our double room was 95 Euro May 1-3

Last August we stayed at the Pensione Wildner in Venice. It is right next to Londras Palace and Hotel Danieli for more than half the price. There is no elevator, but the room was charming with spectaular views of the harbor.
