Hotel in the 7th

We are going to Paris the middle of November (with a group of french students) and staying at the Tryp-de-Saxe in the 7th arr. I've looked on line and it has very positive reviews, with the exception of one that complained about mildew in the bathtub. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences here. Also, would love some ideas on affordable non touristy restaurants in the area.

Thanks!

You might re-post your message with the hotel name in the title--"Hotel in the 7th" won't necessarily attract anyone who's stayed at the hotel you mention.

Hotel Muguet (www.hotelparismuguet.com) is very nice and close to the Eiffel Tower, Champs de Mars, Rue Cler, Latin Quarter - I have been very happy staying there.
