Hotel in Munich convenient to the train station

We are going to stay one night in Munich before we go on to Garmisch. We will probably want to visit the Hofbaruhaus while there and wander around that area some while fighting jet lag. Can we walk there from a hotel (King's Hotel First Class) near the main train station? If not, what is the best way to get there?
Thanks!

I'm sorry--the title of this thread has nothing to do with what I asked. I was working on a post regarding hotels when a friend got back to me with the name of where they stayed recently--King's. So switched up to ask about distances and forgot to rename.
Sorry for any confusion!

According to google maps it's a 20 minute walk of almost a mile, looks easy or you can hop the S-bahn on the way back.

On google maps just plug in the name of your hotel, click on "directions" and the plug in "Hofbrauhaus". Then click on either "walking" directions or public transportation directions.

Definitely walkable and quite pleasant too. As clarkg mentioned, if you're tired, or otherwise "incapacitated" after your visit to Hofbrauhaus, you can get on the ubahn at Marienplatz & ride back to the train station. Of course, if you walk back you'll pass a few other spots where you can refill the tank if need be, or buy ice cream, or people watch.

I think they still have this but I think there still is a fun Bavarian Folk Evening show at about 7pm each night on the upper floors of the Hofbrau Haus. It includes all kinds of cheesy but fun stuff like slap dancing, cowbell songs, the wood chopper dance and more. It would be a good idea to get the hotel to call ahead for reservations since it can fill up with tour busses of people.
