Hotel in Ceske Budejovice
Due to recommended hotels in Ceske Krumlov being booked in May, we are thinking of staying at the Maly Pivovar in Cesky Budejovice in the Czech Republic. Is anyone familiar with the hotel? Also, any suggestions as to where to dine, castle tours, etc., would be appreciated. We will be driving from Salzburg to Prague. Any sights not to be missed along the way?
Thanks.
Thanks.

In 2005, I stayed at Hotel Dvorak on the main square, a clean, cheap and modern hotel; but not very interesting. The restaurant in the nearby Grand Hotel Zvon had good and hearty meals.
If you enjoy music, be sure to check out the programmes with local tourist centre, there are several theatres and churches offer good programmes with very reasonable tickets.

It was 1997 but if the Sonata Hotel, across the bridge from the wonderful main square, is still as it was it is very pleasant, reasonable and convenient.
Have a czech draft beer in the square. You will not get better pilsner or lager anywhere.
