Hotel Leonardo in Cresky Krumlov?

I have reservations for this hotel in June. The contributers in Tripadvisor rave about it. I have also read that because of its downtown location it can be very noisy at night. Has anyone here stayed there? Thank you for any information.

Downtown?

There is no downtown or noisy nightlife in Cesky Krumlov, only a small town square. It is a pretty sleepy town by night.

I have not stayed at this hotel, but you should be fine.

Have a great trip!

We stayed at the Leonardo when it was the Hotel Renesance a few years ago and Orlando Vic is correct; the hotel door faces a quiet square. We have traveled all over Europe and this town and hotel are one of our favorites! Don't miss the resturant "The 12 Apostales". Interior decor and food are really great! Also, the nearby castle had a "horror erotic" sculpture exhibit in one of the lower rooms. Have a great trip!

If you can't find it, here is a pretty good alternative, also on the town square:

HOTEL ZLATÝ ANDĚL (Golden Angel). It is within walking distance of everything. Check out their web site <http://www.hotelzlatyandel.cz/>. It speaks for itself. We were there about 5 years ago and thought it was wonderful!

If you get one of the upper floor rooms, you can see the town square and the castle from the window in your room.

DH and I stayed at the Hotel Leonardo for a night in September. We really liked the hotel and as other posters have said, it's on a quiet square. I did, however, notice from our room that there is a little bar next door with an outdoor patio. If the outdoor section is open when you are there (it wasn't for us), I can imagine there being some noise from music or people talking.

I wouldn't worry too much about it - but bring along some earplugs just in case! Enjoy your stay there, it's a great little town.
