Several years ago we stayed at what was The Regents Park Hilton - it was good value - reasonable sized rooms etc.
I think it has changed to another chain since then - but would probably still be there. It was very close to Lord's Cricket Ground.

It is now a Ramada Jarvis Plaza hotel, I can't comment on it, it's not an hotel one would ever walk into.
For position, again I can't comment on any other aspects, try the Hilton on the Edgware Road, by a station - virtually opposite.
Why this fascinationn with Warren St. tube?

I hadn't thought of it as fascination...but you made me smile. My son is in summer school and that's the closest tube to his address, I think. He's staying at Carr-Saunders Hall on Fitzroy and we just wanted to be fairly close to him for a couple of nights. I have booked the Radisson Grafton Hotel, but read some horrible reviews so am researching other options. Thanks!

I've not yet stayed there, but The Melia White House hotel on Albany St. is pretty near the Warren St. tube station.
If you search on it here, I know I've read several good reports on that hotel.
You can also read quite a few reviews on TripAdvisor. The majority are favorable.

My daughter attended Regents College (located in Regents Park) for a year. I went to visit at the end of the year and stayed at Regents Park Hotel on Gloucester Place.
I don't know your definition of nice but it was clean, quiet, near the school/park, near Baker Street tube stop and had a filling breakfast buffet.
Have fun!

My mother and I stayed at the Melia White House on Albany Street in August,2001. We found it to be an
excellent location for getting about
the city. Our package included the full breakfast which I would recommend.
In 2001 the hotel was being remodeled which I'm sure is complete by now. We would definitely stay at the White House again.
