Hotel Due Torri in Rome

Has anyone stayed here? We will be in Rome at the end of June and trying to narrow down the hotel choices.
Thank you

I stayed there about a year and a half ago. The hotel is very nice. It's on a small alley and so street noise wasn't a problem. Piazza Navona is a short walk. Try to get a room on the top of the hotel they have small terraces with tables and chairs.

Hi Lenox. I stayed there in April '03. Lovely, small hotel in the centro storico with very helpful staff and good breakfast. We stayed on the 5th floor, I believe, and our room had a tiny balcony overlooking rooftops. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat, but next time I'd like to try the del Senato. Have fun!

Friends of mine have stayed at this hotel 3 times, and are very pleased with it for the money. It is clean, has a nice breakfast, and the management is very accomodating. It is a good choice for a 3 star hotel.

Stayed there in October 2001 and would gladly return at the drop of a hat. Small, friendly, clean, quiet, with a sumptuous breakfast. Search the archives as you were advised above. Buon viaggio.

Wow thank you for all the responses. I think I will check out the Senato and then make my decision. This is going to be a fun trip.

Highly recommended. You can beat the location, friendly service and ambiance! I have pics and a review on my websight...

It's a nice place. The only problem is that the rooms are so small that the mice have to run around hunched back.

Would you call this hotel "charming"? Or is it just a clean standard hotel? I prefer charm, but I also like clean and good location.
Thanks again

If you prefer charm, then definetely go with Del Senato. Even though the rooms are small, they are very well appointed.
The location is great.

We stayed at the Due Torri on a trip to Rome a few years ago.

It was highly recommended by Karen Brown but we didn't think it was anything special. The location is nice but it was quite expensive and the room was small.

We've opted for other places on subsequant trips to Rome including the Pantheon View B and B which I liked very much.
