Hotel de Saint Germain - 6e Paris?

Has anyone stayed at the Hotel de Saint Germain in the 6e Paris? I just booked five nights there in September at 120 euro/night and would like opinions at to whether I should keep looking or not. It's the old catch-22 - they had availability, so I wonder if the hotel is a dump. We're not looking for anything fancy, just a decent place to sleep in a good location. Thanks.

Is this the one on rue du Bac? I'm trying to get feedback on it as well. I'm going to be there in October.

My nephew and his girlfriend (30) stayed there a couple of years ago. They liked the location and had nothing bad to say about the hotel, so I presume it's decent. Of course, when you're in love...

I read it has small rooms but the service is good. Same owners as Hotel de Fleurie.

Not a dump at all. here's what some people who stayed there said about it:
Hotel de St. Germain (2 star left bank)-
Very quaint, small, but lovely.
clean, friendly
very comfortable here
in the heart of St. Germain de Pres.
For more Paris information e-mail me: [email protected]
Michael:

Stayed there some years ago, the one on Rue du Four. Kind of Laura Ashley style place. Over all a bit cheesy. Not my cup of tea.
Rooms small, even for my European taste.
Was too noisy for me, Rue du Four being quite busy, also at night. Try to get a room to the back. It's not a dump, but not a place I ever went back either.

The rooms ARE incredibly small, but well furnished, and very comfortable. If you can get a room off of the street the noise isn't an issue. Although I prefer the noise! You cannot beat the location.
