We are looking for a hotel castle in the area between Frankfurt and Luxembourg. The closer to Luxembourg the better. Any suggestions???

I can recommend the Auf Schonburg hotel in Oberwesel on the Rhine. Luxurious rooms in a thousand year old castle, with a view of the Rhine, and great breakfasts. We flew into Frankfurt, stayed at that hotel, and then went on to Trier and Belgium (through Luxembourg). There are also a couple of castle hotels on the Neckar, by Heidelberg, including the castle Hornberg, which isn't as nice as Schonburg, but comfortable.

I've hiked to Burg Arras but never stayed there. Great area on the Mosel with great hiking/biking opportunities and nice towns.
