Hotel Caravaggio Florence

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? It isn't listed in the guidebooks I looked at, or tripadvisor.com. They have a good rate (90E for 3) in March. Casci, which is highly recommended, is 150. Any Comments? Thanks.

peggy-

I found this review page on venere.com
I think that's the hotel you're asking about.

Before you commit check out the Hotel Plaza Lucchesi". My wife and I stayed there in October and were very pleased.
See it at <www.plazalucchesi.it>

Thanks oberost, The Plaza Lucchesi looks beautiful, but it would cost 225 Euros per night, which is way over my budget. I have a reservation at Hotel Caravaggio, I could cancel if I gave them enough notice.

If you can wait a week, I just changed my upcoming long weekend reservations from Corona d'Italia to the caravaggio based on the stellar reviews--saved 8 euros in the process, which wasn't the point, but nice nonetheless. And we get breakfast, too!

Malagamama,

I would love to hear what you think of the Caravaggio! It does have great reviews on Venere.com. For me it would be an upgrade from a guest house which I found out had poor reviews. I am also considering Hotel Boccaccio, but it is 15E more a night, and rates as very good but noisy. Have a wonderful trip! Hope to here from you. Thanks, Peggy

Anyone else have info on Hotel Caravaggio? The reviews on Venere are good, but website pictures are not great.(Hotel Casci is booked, and Tourist House Ghilberti looks great, but is more expensive, and they do not seem to have rooms for 3 people) Any feedback or other suggestions would be appreciated.
