Hotel between Liege and Bastogne
We are going to be driving towards Luxembourg City, we plan on visiting Maastricht during the day and are trying to get a little closer to Luxembourg City. I don't think we want to stay in Liege, so far I'm coming up with a couple of hotels in Bastogne and one in Houffalize, are there any other hotels that would be close to the highway (I think it's E25)? I think we are going to spend a bit of time in Bastogne the next morning so I don't want to go past it.
Thanks!

If it has to be along the E25 your best bet would be La Roche en Ardenne or Houffalize. Somewhere along the river Ourthe would be nice.
Check out http://www.clairefontaine.be/FR/08-Cuisine.asp - haven't been there myself but I've heard good things about it.
When will you be going? Take into account that between mid Oct and end Nov/mid Dec it's wild game season and hotels/restaurants book up very quickly for gastronomic weekends.

If you haven't booked yet, Houffelize is a great place to stay. We were there for 2 nights this past April and it was perfect for traveling to Orval Abby or into Luxembourg (Bastogne and Diekrich).

You might want to consider Spa in Belgium - much closer to the highway then Liege and a very cute litle town. Great restaurants. We stayed in a Napoleoonic era Manor House - but they seemed to have a large variety of places.

Historical note: Spa was chosen as headquarters town by the German Army during World War I because it had so many hotels and large homes close to the center of the Belgian line and was well served by railways.
