We didn't actually stay there, but walked past it often as our apartment was just down the block (and stopped there for directions). It looks very nice, and the staff was very helpful. Also, we really enjoyed staying in the Cannaregio district...about a 10 minute walk from the train station; much less crowded than San Marco, and more of a "real neighborhood."

My DH and I stayed there last October, and it was wonderful! The rooms are huge and beautifully appointed (Frette linens, marble bath, etc.) The staff were very friendly and helpful, with the exception of one of the breakfast waiters. There are some terrific local restaurants just down the street and in the area -- just wander around. Can't help with the appliances -- we don't travel with any, so I did not notice what kind of outlets they had. The bathrooms have a hair dryer. You might drop an email to the hotel and ask.
