Hot Paris
Remembering the dreadful heatwave in Paris last year, I thought this would be of interest to any summer travelers.

Last year we traveled in unairconditioned trains and stayed in unairconditioned hotels with no swimming pools...and were miserable. This year, when it's been blissfully cool except for a couple of days that verged on hot but still weren't too bad, we're traveling in a car with airco and all the hotels we're staying at have AC and swimming pools...maybe some day we'll get the balance right!
Last night, it was so cool that at 3 am, we had to get up and dig out another blanket. Should be warming up for a few days but the 10 day forecast for our upcoming trip to the Loire Valley is calling for fairly cool weather with a little rain. Fine by me!

We're looking forward to it! We've tacked another three days onto the trip to go a little farther...down to Berry, staying in Bourges and doing the Sancerre region wine/cheese loop. Never been there, if anyone has any special Sancerre vineyard/winery recs, please post!
