Hostel in Bayeux

Anyone got any suggestions for clean cheap sleeps in Bayeux? A hostel will be fine so long as it's clean. Thanks!
M

how cheap? I stayed at a lovely huge old manor house - it's about 220 FF, give or take, a night. prices could be subject to change, of course...

if that is cheap enough, give me a sec - I will look up the info. or, do a search on "Colonel Chilcott" on this board - I have written about him, a have many others...

thanks

Beth

Margie

We stayed at the Chilcott's (about USD 30/night w bfst) while our son stayed at a great hostel in Bayeux. He loved the hostel and we thought the B&B was great.

Le Manor des Doyens
St Loup Hors
Bayeux
14400 France

From US: 011 33 2 31 22 39 09
[email protected]
www.vrbo.com/vrbo/352.htm

Bon voyage
The hostel part of the hotel is located 1km from town. Owned/managed by the friendly & helpful Mme. Virginia Lefeure who serves wonderful meals including home-produced wine at a great price. For directions, see orientation to rue St. Martin, which becomes rue Malo, turn left onto rue Général Dais at the Century 21 office. The above description doesn’t even begin to describe this hotel without my notes.

My colleage-age son stayed in their hostel in June 2000; it my be the only one in the area. It was four or five blocks from the cathedral, but it didn't seem to be 1 km from the town. It was his first hostel experience and he loved it.

Don't miss the tapestry.
