Honeymoon in Italy
Hi, we are planning our honeymoon in italy for 10 days (1st week of June)
We live in US but getting married in Cairo, Egypt.
We are thinking of either doing
- Venice, Tuscany(with 1 day trip to Florence) and Rome
- Venice, Tuscany (with 1 day trip to Florence)
Since we will be traveling to Cairo, Egypt for almost 10 days and exhausted, I think, we should just keep 2 cities - Venice - 4 days and Tuscany/Florence - 6 days and skip Rome. What you guy think?

Just back this week from a week in Tuscany and guess what: we opted not to drive into Florence.
Partly: Been there, done that. I.E. 3 months residence in the 70s.
Partly that my dear spouse observed that a day trip would mere tire and frustrate us, especially as I loathe line-ups of any kind.
When we wanted magic, art and history, we went to Siena.
Also Montepulciano, which I again felt was one of the summits of Italian town-building.
If it were I -- and of course it is not -- I would choose Rome and Venice.
Maybe a stop in Siena in between.

Hello MondayCG. Yes you probably will be exhausted. But a wedding in Egypt, assume you have family there, sounds lovely. It if were me I would stay in Venice and the countryside of Tuscany. If you decide to do a daytrip to Florence I would leave it as sort of a last minute decision.
I don't know if you will have a car or will be travelling by train. You could (if travelling by train) stop in Florence for the day when leaving Venice. There is a Luggage Office at the Florence train station. But I would play it by ear, see what you feel in the mood for and up to. Venice and the countryside would be so beautiful and relaxing IMO. Congratulations on your marriage with wishes for a lifetime of love, joys and good health.
