Honeymoon hotel recommendations for Nice

My fiancee and I will be in Nice on a stopover trip for about 3 days and are looking for a recommendation on a good, classy hotel in Nice. It's a mini-honeymoon so we are looking for a place that is good and is tasteful.

We are in our mid-30's and are going to be there in mid-July.

Thanks

What is your budget for this trip? And do you want to stay in Nice or somewhere quieter?

I stayed years ago at the Perouse which was charming. An overnight stop with breakfast under lemon trees. Someone posted here that since then it is remodeled and now out of my price range but it is in a great location.
Have a wonderful mini honeymoon.

I stayed at the Radisson SAS which was nice. It has a good restaurant on the roof and pool and is across street from beach. You do have to take a short taxi ride to downtown area. Ask for room with water view.

I'm sure I sound like a broken record, but we always stay at The Westminster, which is on the Promenade des Anglais, excellent location across from the sea, and an easy walk to Vielle Ville or Old Nice. Seaview rooms ( double) start at about $150 a night. If you're interested, call the 800 toll-free number in the U.S. and see what kind of rate they're offering. Somebody here on the forum did very well that way. Make sure you tell the reservationist it's your honeymoon. Sometimes they'll try to upgrade you for that. If the Westminster doesn't work out, try La Perouse, which is at the other end of the Promenade, which turns into the Quai des Etats Unis. And if still no luck there, try Hotel Grimaldi, which is closer to the train station, but has received excellent reviews in some travel magazines and here on this forum.

Congratulations, and have a wonderful time in Nice!

Good luck, congratulations, and have a wonderful time in Nice!

For a really memorable lunch in a fantastic lunch, you shouldn't miss La Colombe d'Or in St. Paul de Vence.

Enjoy!
