1) You could stay in Paris and perhaps the French countryside - Provence?.
2) You could combine 2 places - London/Paris, Paris/Amsterdam, Paris/Rome, Paris/Venice - 4 days each and 2 travel days
I would suggest 1 because of your budget, but if you can stretch it - Paris and Venice would be nice

If you fly in to London next day visit the Tower of London,St Pauls, get a tour bus of the main signts -Trafalgar Square,Buckingham Palace etc etc and a must is a river trip on the Thames...then get the Eurostar through the Chamnel tunnel from St Pancras direct to Gare du Nord in the centre of Paris...much better than flying and a real experience - and you can do all that in 48 hours.

Apartment rentals are generally cheaper than hotels. You can also cook some of your own meals when you have an apartment. Both, good budget decisions.
July is awfully hot, sticky and crowded in Europe. And, it is high season... so most expensive time to go. Is there any way you can put off your honeymoon until the fall? Much better weather, fewer crowds and less costly.
If you prefer to spend your money on the culture and food, and you are only using your room for bed and showering, then there are some low-cost options for clean, plain rooms. Convents and monestaries are famously inexpensive. My daughter and I stayed at a hotel in Paris that is actually IN a hospital! But it was clean and the bathroom was huge and you can't beat the location...right across the street from Notre Dame! You can't beat the price for location, either, at E131/night!

With only 7-10 days, and a limited budget, you might want to stick to one country. Either do Paris/Provence or Venice/Rome. Otherwise you spend too much time packing/unpacking/traveling.
Please let us know what "budget" means. That could mean $100 a night for one poster and $400 a night for another.
Also, read trip reports. Great place to start!
Good Luck on your upcoming nuptials!
