Last night, Househunters (on HGTV) was in Madrid. The buyer was a single guy. He was looking at TINY flats - they were in the 600-800 sq. foot range, at a price between $450,000 and $550,000. He bought the one for $450,000 and it didn't have a kitchen - he had to put that in.

Since Botin has been mentioned , wanted to let you know that we had dinner there a couple of nights ago and we were a little disappointed with the suckling pig. We had been there in other ocassions and enjoyed it much more.

Last night we went to Posada de la Villa, in Cava Baja, where we enjoyed the cordero asado. Dinner was great but expensive!

Hola Cruise! Now you go into the pain of Spain detox....ouch! I was COLD in Burgos when we went there in May last year. I kept wishing for gloves!

A hint about Botin, it is open for lunch until 4:00 PM which is when some of my business companions start falling asleep from jetlag. I have gone there twice for late 'lunch' on the day of our arrival (which is really 'dinner' for eveyrone) and it has worked rather well. Both times we just walked-in without reservations and were seated. My colleagues were properly fed and asleep by seven in evening.

That wasn't our experience at all, but then again we don't have "Amercian" accents!

Cheers,

Bill
