Holesovice to...
I'm going from Budapest to Prague in early June. Does anyone know what station in Prague the train arrives at? If Holesovice, what might be a good way to get to the main station? How about the airport area from Holesovice? Also (yes! ANOTHER question!) what about good places to stay near the airport? And one final query, I have places to stay in advance for all the days but June 1st, any suggestions out there? Thanks in advance for any responses, JPoole.

It looks as if the trains orginating in both Deli and Keleti stations in Budapest end up at Holesovice.
I have only taken private transports from that station but there will be plenty of cabs waiting (try to get them to agree on a price before starting out).
I believe you can get to Hlavni (the main station) by public transport also.
Hopefully, others will comment.

I am sure that www.bahn.de will give you the particulars about where your train will arrive. IIRC, Holsovice is not very central and I don't remember it having a metro stop as the other stations do.

We arrived at Holesovice from Berlin a couple of weeks ago. I would arrange a taxi with your hotel BEFORE you arrive. When we reached Holesovice all the taxi drivers outside (none were AAA, the desirable taxi company) wanted 600k for a 4 km taxi ride, about twice what the posted hotel charge would be (even at the Marriott).
The metro does connect Holesovice to the main station.
Didn't stay near the airport so I have no recommendations on that note.

About five years ago I took the train from Bratislava (Slovakia) to Prague and it came in to Holesovice. The cab drivers wanted MORE to take me in to town than I had paid for the trip from Bratislava (more than 4 hours!). LOL I took the metro -- thank you very much. I could buy a ticket in a machine which had English on it.

It's easy to get between those points by the metro (Holesovice into town to the main station or wherever). Holesovice is on the same line as the main station, it's only a couple stops. I've taken a private car my hotel arranged to HOlesovice and it didn't cost that much as it isn't that far out.
The airport doesn't have a metro stop, which makes it more difficult. I wouldn't even take public transport to/from it, but some people do. It's not that expensive to take a taxi as it's not that far out, either.

The metro from Holesovice to downtown is very easy. The train station is at the northern terminus of the red line so there is only 1 line/1 direction to go. To use the ticket machines you need Cz coins - they don't take bills or cards.
If your hotel is near a subway line (red or otherwise).
Public transportation to the airport is also easy - you take the Green metro line to the western end, then pick up the airport express bus right outside the subway exit. Just follow the locals with suitcases. It's not the fastest way, but it's easy and cheap.

I also took the metro from Holesovice to the Hlavni with no problem. I believe the red metro line is the very nice modern one while some other lines have the older style metro trains. It costs less than a dollar per person to ride the metro. We walked to our hotel from Hlavni because the taxi drivers wanted to charge more than double. We did the same thing on a previous trip except we had a problem because we had planned to exchange money at the station but the window was closed and the ATM machine wasn't working. In desperation, we ended up exchanging 1 dollar for 4 Koruna instead of 28 Koruna. The metro cost 20 Koruna at that time.

If I were you I would try to find another hotel that's closer to old town or Mala Strana. Globus is way too far south bordering Prague 4. I notice you can take the metro and then climb up a hill to get to your hotel. There are plenty of hotels with a much better location within the same price range.
