It was sad to see Gaulle knowing what happened to the beautiful country the day after Christmas.
I too was sad to see Lori and Bolo go. They grew on me because you know they cared about each other.
I really hope Freddie and Kendra do not win but as too the others I really don't care. The show is just not as exciting this season.

Haven't they already been to those towers in Kuala Lampur? quite a few seasons back, I seem to remember it.

Finale of the current season scheduled for February 8. AR 7 begins March 1. You heard it here first!

Lori and Bolo: I'm glad they love each other, but they are just too dumb to win.

I'm rooting for Kris and Jon -- they're the nicest folks left.

Did anyone else think last night's episode was incredibly frenetic? I felt like I was watching MTV or some action film where the pace never lets up. And it was ALL trains and planes and buses and tuk tuks.

I will miss Lori and Bollo. They made me laugh every week. Did they ever pronounce ONE destination city correctly in the whole race ? It was funny to listen to her shouting spats with him because I could never figure out what she was saying. She has a very low voice range. When she came charging down the steps yesterday after forgetting her ticket I had tears streaming down my eyes. Rebecca and Kris' reactions to the same scene were priceless.

However, now that L&B are gone, and although Kris and Jon are my favourites, I'll admit that I wouldn't be too sad to see Rebecca and Hellboy take it. Why ? Well, I like her, I think she's OK; and if he were to give his head a shake and suddenly play smart and do something unexpected to turn their game around, they could do it. I know, wishful thinking. OTOH, maybe this is why they're being edited this way....

Kudos to CBS on the 'pre-episode Phil voiceover' dedication of the episode to the people of Sri Lanka. It was most appropriate. And yes, Galle was sadly devastated in the tragedy; wasn't that the same train from Columbo where 8 or 9 hundred lost they lives ?

With the confirmation that Rob and Amber from Survivor will be on AR7, I almost feel like giving next season a pass. (Unfortunately, I know I won't).

I'm still rooting for Kris and Jon.

At least next season we already know who we don't want to win! We could almost start discussing it now.

What a great idea, Barbara -- "pre-criticism."

I usually root for the nice people, this Kris and Jon are my favorites. She even tried to cheer Bolo up last night.

As for AR7, I know I am way in the minority but I kind of like Boston Rob. There was something so Machiavellian about him. He was quite smart & cunning under that rough exterior. It's fascinating the way that some individuals can wield such power in a group even when starting with a level playing field. I reserve the right to change my opinion once AR7 actually begins!

Saw the Wrestlers on the morning show ("Early Show"?). They were very subdued (not what she wore, of course) and talked about that train, said yes, it was the one destroyed. They still seemed a bit bizarre, but nice enough -- although she said she was the mean one and he was the nice one, and I guess I can believe that.

Kris and John are still my favorites too. They are in it for the fun vs the money, so I really hope they win.

It was wierd to watch the show and wonder about all the people and how they were affected by the tsunami.

I never watched Survivor, so what is the scoop on the couple that will be on AR7?

Most of the women in this season have been very mean and or witchy. The guys were all pretty meek (except for Jonathan). My family and I have actually stopped watching. I didn't want my son to think that's an acceptable way for partners to treat each other, and I didn't want my husband drawing any comparisons!

Thanks for the heads-up Betsy. Don't know if I'm glad about another one so soon or not. Guess it will depend on the teams they have chosen and whether or not they're a whole lot different than this time!

Agree Marilyn, last night's show was one big blur. Of course, I mentioned in an earlier post (above) that the whole race was too much airport and not enough destination.

I don't watch any other reality show, so am not acquainted with the Survivor pair slated to be on TAR.

Dreamer2--Our kids have watched this with us and it has become quite funny because everytime someone treats their partner poorly, I tell the kids to never act like that and to never let anyone treat you like that. The kids are almost tired of hearing it from us, lol!

Hard to summarize Rob and Amber for those who have not watched Survivor. Rob was (IMHO of course) a smug, sneaky, offensive know-it-all in his first season on the show. He was the sort of person who manipulated others and laughed about them behind their backs for trusting him. I could not WAIT for him to get booted off.

He returned for Survivor All-Stars and seemed to have grown up a little. He and Amber hooked up on the show and largely through his "protection" she ended up winning the million dollars. He proposed to her on the final show.

In some ways it might be rather satisfying to see them go at each other a la Jonathan and Victoria. But they have a million dollars -- shouldn't they give somebody else a chance?

Thanks for the rundown, Marilyn I agree about giving other people a chance to win the money. Seems greedy of them to even accept the opportunity, IMO.

I don't know... why is it 'greedy' for someone who made money doing something (ie. reality show, or a movie, or a chain of hotel/casinos, or...) to make some more money doing something again?
And, it might be interesting to see how people with winning "Survivor" skills handle situations and themselves while constantly on the move.

I only saw Rob and Amber on the Allstars edition, and I thought they were pretty good (compared to some of the other survivors). I admire people who can be smart and cunning and rise for the challenge. They never betrayed each other however, only who they considered their competitors. It is a game after all.

lindilindi, Rob was a lot worse in his debut Survivor series. Also, as I recall, he did stab someone in the back pretty badly on All-Stars.

Travelnut--Just my opinion, but a game is different than a business or a career.
