not that you can justify Jon and his behaviour, but some people are extreme competitors...he borders on insane, but he played hard. victoria seemed shell shocked by the whole experience...maybe try something else next time. but he did go out as good as any other team ever has.
there hasn't been so many physically strong teams left this late in the amazing race for a while.

All I was able to say to myself was "God listened to our prayers." They're gone." Finally! And they're still both shameless. However, I have to admit, I was pleased to see that Victoria used some common sense in asking the young man for his shirt so she didn't walk into the Church in her abbreviated top.
I also wonder how large a contribution CBS made to St. George's Church so they would allow these scrappy Americans enter their holy site. Granted they do have tours to Lalibala, but this was a real strange group utilizing their holy place.
Still, we have to be thankful that Jonathan and Victoria are gone. No more of their rude and sad antics.

the cheering that went on in my house last night....
Did anyone notice Phil was trying hard not to smirk when he Philiminated them? I think inside he was celebrating just as much as the rest of us!

We were so glad to see them finally go! What was up with Jonathon wearing just his underwear after making the mud wall? Everyone else got dressed again.
We laughed when Hayden and Aaron were s tarting out with their donkeys. He commented that he had experience in guiding asses and then laughed and pointed at Hayden. He didn't seem mean when he said it, but it was really funny.

Hip, hip hooray! Finally the two most objectionable are gone, but I wonder if it will really make much difference in the overall picture??? It suddenly occurred to me last night that I'm having difficulty remembering team names, since essentially they're all so much alike, with the possible exception of the wrestlers and the idiot with the "hair horns."
It seems to me this whole race has spent entirely too much time in airports and too little time in each destination. It all seems pretty much a blur. Or am I remembering previous races better than they actually were?
I was, however, impressed with the reverence shown by most when receiving and comparing the medallions. It surprised me, based on the boorish behavior, lack of respect and crude remarks in previous episodes.
I will, of course, stick with it to the end, but this AR has certainly been less fun and interesting to watch.

I agree, it was a moronic comment from a very ignorant girl; however, afterwards I realized that she didn't mean it the way it sounded - she was trying to comment on how simple their lives are - out in the country, working with their hands. She's not the most tactful person...

With regards to the "respect" factor I am amazed at the clothing or lack there of some of them wear anyway they are. I would think when you have no idea where you might be travelling to you would make sure your clothing is respectable to most cultures.

Like everyone else, I'm relieved that Jonathan and Victoria are out. They did go very gracefully. To give her some credit, Victoria was the only person who gave any thought to what she was wearing to go into the church. Remember, she asked one of their "guides" if she could borrow his jacket? I also am amazed/appalled at the general lack of clothing.
bardo1, good point.
