I think I saw a line of people waiting in a taxi queue when one of the guys managed to get one to stop by running out into the street. I couldn't figure it out either until I saw that, so I'm just guessing.

TravelinWifey, I specifically checked for Kendra's "botox" last night, and I definitely saw her wrinkle up her entire brow!!! I believe it was after the window washing episode and they were sitting in a cab. Perhaps it was just wearing off! How many days are they on the race?

Yes, I also appreciated Kris and Jon's comments last night, and the fact that they weren't pulling some juvenile hissy fit when their cabbie was failing to make any time.

Now, only one more episode, right? When is the two hour finale?

The two hour finale is next Tuesday night - for me on mountain time I'm sure they will change the time (it's been on at 10:00PM, so they'll probably switch it to 8:00 or 9:00) but I don't know about other time zones.

Is this the first finale with 4 couples rather than the usual three? Mike

Next week will probably be like a double episode, with one team eliminated after the first hour. I believe this is the way it has worked in the past.

Kendra is the stereotype shallow American, culturally unenlightened pig. I'm so sick of her saying "ghetto." And wasn't she the one who said, "Do you think we're being discriminated against?" when the cabs were passing by? She should know.

I dislike Kendra and Freddie even more than the lately departed Victoria and Jon. Kendra is ugly! Ugly attitude and ugly viewpoints of the world. I want to know what rock she crawled out from, she and that short-tempered boyfriend. They do nothing but spread the "ugly American" stereotype wherever they go, proving it's alive and kicking.

Other than that, I'm thoroughly enjoying AR! And I love reading the tongue-in-cheek commentary on television without pity. What a stitch.

GO TO CHINA!!! Spent a month there a couple of years ago and the country is fabulous...plus the people will charm your socks off. I did not care for Hong Kong after mainland China...HK was just too american for me!

Also I think of all the world I have seen so far...when I saw the skyline in Shanghai I was very impressed. Its modern and amazing. I saw styles of buildings like I have never seen elsewhere...so far! GO TO CHINA!

I hope Kris and Jon win, but may the BEST team win! Adam and Rebecca are starting to get very irrating, but at least Rebeccas is playing "ADAMS" game to get revenge. I seriously doubt they will survive the next round with no money in CHINA!!

The producers have been really playing up the Adam and Rebecca thing in the AR6 web site. Makes me wonder if the show is setting things up so we will cheer when they lose.

I must admit that I have watched all the eposides since its inception. I can't recall EVER seeing the lack of money having ANY effect on that particular race. The couple start begging early and even get some help from the other couples. I don't see that happening in this episode. Has anyone remember a specific episode where the couple who had their money taken away lost that race because of that reason? Mike

But you can bet they won't be getting any help at all from the other teams this time - way too close to the end of the race for that.

Actually, I could see Kris & Jon giving them enough money to get to the airport and on to a place with more Westerners to beg from.

Mike: I believe that one couple is eliminated in the first hour of the finale and then the remaining three battle it out to the finish for the $1 million prize.

I think Rebecca will do a great job "begging" for money. Adam will just sit back and let her do all the work.
Oooohhh, that FINALE should be interesting!!!! Can't wait!

I have to confess that as disapointing as this Amazing Race has been, the final interests me more than Sunday's Super Bowl.

Now if there was just an office AR pool.

Well, if you were Chinese, and perhaps didn't speak english, or speak very well, and you had someone with hair horns get in your face trying to ask you for money what would you do? I'd run screaming, head for the temple and light some incense!!!!!! I'm sure they get the money because in the previews there was a mention of some kind of "melt down" for Adam and Rebecca on the roadblock. Oh this should be "veddy" interesting.

One more point on the money situation. It seems that this penniless couple gets the majority of money from English speaking tourist. It will be a little more challenging in China, but I'm sure they'll make it. I'm beginning to think this is a "worthless exercise" Any suggestions on a more worthwhile penalty? Mike
