Me too!! We stayed there many years ago when it was a real dump (and not yet a Hilton). Had planned to return this Sept. but had to cancel.
PS The location is wonderful.

Yes, it has a wonderful location, right by Green Park and Buckingham Palace but even closer to Picadilly and in Mayfair. We stayed there 2002 but couldn't get a good price last year. Hilton offers a good price on a non-refundable reservation but that's not acceptable to me. The hotel itself is adequate.

The last time I stayed at the hotel was December 2003, had a good deal (somewhere around 70 pounds) through www.Londontown.com, and free up-grade to the executive floor. The rooms on that floor was recently renovated, much nicer than the standard rooms.

The buffet breakfast was standard fare, but the room(their regular dining room) was bright and nice.

It is very convenient located; the only drawback is the street noise in the morning if staying facing Half Moon Street.
