Here's a Great Map of Cesky Krumlov!
I'm planning a trip to the Czech Republic and stumbled upon this website yesterday. It not only is a good resource for hotels, B&Bs, restaurants etc in CK, but it's got some really great maps, especially the "Click-sensitive map of Èeský Krumlov." It's this beautifully drawn map of the town; you can click on any building and you get a photo of that building, an explanation of the building's history and also a history of its residents, a list of any special features of the building, and also the current use of the building today. Czech it out:

http://www.ckrumlov.cz/uk/atlas/i_cmm.htm

This is the beauty of this forum. Helpful sharing of info.

But I'll soapbox (as I too often do). This will be essentially lost, two days from now - -until the database gets indexed again.

Fortunately, that happens every so often, so this will provide usefu l information to those who search for it for months (and years?) to come.

But I continue to rant, every once in a while, for a better way to index and find RECENTLY posted info - - not yet indexed. And grassroots support for this "wish list" item.

Best wishes,

Rex
Rex,
If you are (or someone else is) putting together a CR or other Central Europe trip in 2003 or 2004, please put me on your list! Would be very interested to go. I am tentatively exploring a trip to Budapest/Prague for 2003, but am open for other cities!

Visited Cesky Krumlov several years...what a delight. Have added your site to my favorites. Found the hotel where we stayed on the clickable map. We stayed at the Ve Vizi. I'll always remember the feather comforters. You can read about the Ve Vizi at the following link.
http://www.ckrumlov.cz/uk/mesto/rpphv/i_peveve.htm

I was looking for something else, and I stumbled upon this.

Central europe could happen sometime in 2003, but more likely for April/May is southern Italy/Sicily or spain/Portugal (and/or maybe some of southwest France).

See http://www.travel-board.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=280
< BR>or

http://www.travel-board.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=365
< BR>and especially, this link posted there:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/travelcheap2000/join
