PLMN - I finally read the 1st 81 pages that I printed out and I must say what an enjoyable read.

First, glad to hear your husband's back problems aren't as serious as you thought! My MIL just had back surgery for stenosis of the spine and degenerative disks 2 wks ago--it's a different story at 71! Hope your sister is ok...
My husband and I went to the Jewish Ghetto but he didn't pull Tefillin w/the Orthodox although he was invited that Friday night. I bet it was because he flunked out of Hebrew school too. (Did anyone do well w/that--I was the student from h-ll!)

The thread on best posts of the year reminded me I hadn't ever finished reading this one. Disconcerting to see Phoebe's absence for so long. As the year draws to a close, wish Phoebe and her whole family good health and good times for the New Year.
