This is a before picture of the closed section of the 'Decumanus Maximus', ~2003 they had also closed-off the leftside of the street, sidewalk and buildings. http://tinyurl.com/3qrw35a

I am so confused! I looked at those pictures Nadia posted the link to and there was some amazing stuff. Then I read the articles about how Pompeii is totally falling apart and is neglected and everything is getting ruined.
I only have time to likely visit Pompeii or Herculaneum this September. I know Pompeii is much larger, but will I see any sites similar to the pictures show from Herculaneum? Are there fresco's and relief's at Pompeii?
Or any links to Pompeii photo gallery's would also be useful.

You'll find photos from Pompei, more or less in reverse date order, here...
