Herculaneum's new Virtual Museum of Archaeology
'The Virtual Museum of Archaeology (or MAV), which opened this summer, is based on the ancient Roman town of Herculaneum and is sited 100 metres from the ruins of the former settlement.
The creators of MAV aim to digitally reconstruct the destroyed town and recreate what life there was like ... '

Oh, that looks interesting - thanks Steve !
Must get round to visiting Campania at a cool time of year, in order finally to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum & the Phlegrean Fields. Have you visited the latter ? Our Naples guidebook made it sound as if it could be done by train, but I suspect by car might be easier - any idea ?

I've never made it there, Caroline.
It looks like it's acessible by the Cumana metro or by bus (Sepsa).
