help with travel from Salisbury to Brighton
Hi everyone
My husband and I and our two teenage boys have to get from Salisbury to Brighton on October 6th ( a Saturday). Search engines tell me the quickest way is to train it to London and then to Brighton. Is it too long winded and problematic to try to train it or bus it via the Portsmouth area, a scenic way?? Or through Winchester?? Just wondered if it would be more scenic. We are traveling to stay with friends in Brighton for a few days before we catch Eurostar to Paris and begin Europe adventure. Just wanted kids to see more of England if possible.
Thanks guys

For train schedules search www.nationalrail.co.uk - gives schedules for all UK trains - it may route you via London if quicker but then break down you search into stages like Salisbury to Portsmouth, etc.

I've taken a coach from Salisbury to the Southampton coach station and I see on the National Express website that there are coaches from Southampton to Brighton, some with no changes, some with 1 change. The coach is also likely to be considerably less expensive than the train. My trip from Salisbury was a special £1 fare.
