help with trains/travel time between cities
Please help - what is the travel time it would take to go from
rome to naples
naples to sorrento
naples to florence
florence to venice.
we want to take the fastest trains between major cities.
Also, we are flying into Rome and out of Venice. Does it make more sense when we first arrive in Rome to go directly to Sorrento and then to Rome so that the trip to Florence is not as long?

The line from Napoli to Sorrento is not run by Trenitalia. It's part of Circumvesuviana system (www.vesuviana.it). Trains run every half hour from Napoli to Sorrento and take about one hour.

I'm not aware of any bus between Naples and Sorrento. There is a bus between Naples airport to Sorrento, but it doesn't stop in Naples. There is a bus from Rome to Sorrento which departs from Rome Tiburtina station, but the times aren't very convenient.
