Thanks for all the help. Once I connect with my daughter, I'll be game for anything. It's just when I'm traveling alone that I'd rather not take chances. The bus from Montparnasse to Hotel de Ville sounds quite easy. I figure that my daughter's French will be better than mine by then, so we'll do just fine.
