Thank you for your homework on transportation on the AC. Unfortunately, we have changed our plans and will not be heading in that direction but instead will be spending a week in Abruzzo before 2 weeks in Puglia.

I do have a few questions.

1. We will arrive in Rome Sunday morning. Should we stay in a hotel near Termini and rent our car Monday morning for the ride to our rental in Abruzzo or should we get a train to A'quila, rent a car there and prevent the terror of driving out of Rome? If staying in Rome, can anyone suggest a moderately priced hotel near Termini?

2. I am considering a rental in Introdacqua. We are looking for a mountain vacation not a beach vacation but would like to take day trips from our base. Any feedback on this as a good location?

3. We then travel to Puglia and are considering 2 masserias, one near Trani and one near Ostuni/Martina Franca split between the week. Any suggestions for loved masserias in either place?

4. I have included the link for our Galatina stay. Wondering where the most conventient place for rental drop off and catching a train to Rome from Galatina at the end of our week?

5. Last stop Rome for a week. Link included for a Fodor's favorite, the Miguel apartment.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions. This is a finalized plan, money has been sent to Rome and Galatina. Only unknowns are rental in Abruzzo and masseria choices.
