Help with Itinerary for Paris, Zermatt, Cinque Terre and Venice
Hi,
Looking for some help on planning the following trip.
Arriving in Paris on a Sunday...plan to just stay for 2 days...head to Zermatt on the Tuesday then head to Cinque Terre and then somehow make it to Venice by Friday Night.
Is that possible? Am I trying to fit in too many places? I take it that train would be our best option?
Any help, recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Way to much in too little time.
Have you been to Paris before? Can you really see what you want in 1.5 days?
From Paris to Zermatt by train is 7 hours - so really 9 hours from Paris hotel to Zermatt hotel. You would only have a couple of hours there Tuesday night.
On Wed you would have to go to 5 Terre - to have Thurs ther - and head to Venice on Friday.
Makes no sense.

Have been to Paris before --- need to be in Zermatt by Tuesday evening and in Venice by Friday night.
Was looking for somewhere to visit between Zermatt and Venice. Thought Cinque Terre looked beautiful. Is there somewhere else that would be a better fit?

between Zermatt and Venice Stresa, on lovely Lake Maggiore (a k a Lake Stresa) would make a great stop as would Lake Como and Como or Bellagio as bases.
For lots of great info on European trains in those countries check out these IMO superb sites - www.ricksteves.com; www.seat61.com and www.budgeteuropetravel.com - download the latter's free and superb IMO online European Planning & Rail Guide for itinerary suggested like you asked about between Zermatt and Venice (http://www.budgeteuropetravel.com/id2.html).
