Help with Itinerary - Black Forest...

Just kidding... If I don't know where I'm going by now I'm in trouble. But you guys and gals on this board are great with your responses to fellow travelers. I certainly thank you for your assistance to me in the past.

Just heading out for a hopefully enjoyable two weeks in the Schwarzwald. Great airfare - free bus and train transport while there based on the villages where I will hopefully find a farm or zimmer frei. Should be a nice low budget vacation. Except for the 50 pounds of chocolate I'll have to bring back to the Frau.

Meeting up with some of our Stammtisch group at our favorite watering hole and feed stop in the Black Forest. (http://www.bensbauernhof.com/zumsternen.html) If any of you Fodorites might happen to be in the Forest the third week of this month - drop me an email and I'll tell you how to get there. And buy the first Bier... Can't make it? We'll give you a big prost anyway... Später... Ben

Ben, have a great trip. I think it was probably one of your group that first turned me on to Gengenbach in the Black Forest. Still one of my favorite little towns.

Will be headed to Germany and Austria on Wednesday, but, sadly, won't be stopping in the Black Forest this trip.

Save some chocolate for the rest of us, OK?

Sounds like a great trip in a beautiful area. Have fun.
We're heading for Germany on Tuesday but we'll be going to the Mosel and then on to the forests of Thuringia.

Your website has been such a help to me, I'll keep track of nice little places we find and pass them on to you.

Have a great trip too, bettyk.

Enjoy your trip, Ben! As you know, I am within sight of the Black Forest but on the wrong side, the Furtwangen area is a bit far, especially without a car, so I think I won't make it. Have a great time!

Lucky lucky you! What are your plans for next May or September?...I'm getting 'homesick' for Germany or Switzerland.
