Help Trafalgar commentators, please!

Trafalgar? How was it? Read one message saying cheap and poor hotels outside cities. Is this true? We're debating between them and Grand European and must decide today. Please Help! Thank you so much

I responded on your "canned" tours query. Grand Circle and Trafalgar, as well as other moderately priced tours, all stay at the same hotels. Compare the itineraries as the hotel is far less important.

Used Trafalgars for a 17-day trip/6-countries, and again for a 10-day France tour. It was rare that the hotel was not in city-centre: one time in Rome (but we were so busy it didn't seem to matter), once in Germany going to Heidelberg; no instances on the France tour that I can recall. However, your concern is more likely to be true if using T's "cost-saver" version. Haven't used Grand European so can't comment. Oh, also the quality of the hotels w/ Trafalgar was very good to first-class, certainly not "cheap/poor".

Just wondering if you took the Trafalgar tour. We took a Grand European / Far&Wide tour and were very disappointed. I'd love to hear about your trip. (Here are some detail about our dissatisfactions: www.farandwidefiasco.com)
