Help! Need Reasonable Priced Accomodations in Venice!
Hello,
My husband, myself and my mother-in-law are traveling to Venice on October 12 to 14. We are in need of recommendations for a hotel. We are looking for something that has a great location (walking distance to main sites, etc.) and is nice (clean, decent amenities, etc.) but that is reasonably priced (less than 200 Euros per night). Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also, we are driving a rented car to Venice. I understand we have to leave the car somewhere and catch a boat to the main island of Venice? If so, where do we leave the car and what is recommended route to get to island and hotel (with luggage, etc.)?
Thank you so much!

I've stayed twice at www.lacalcina.com
It's a lovely hotel and in your price range, breakfast included.

But the original poster is very unlikely to get La Calcina with 10 days notice.
You will have to take what's left - anything that's popular and well-known is probably already booked.
Try these:
www.laterooms.com
www.ratestogo.com
www.venere.com
www.lastminute.com

We just stayed (last week) at Locanda San Barnaba for 170E double or twin (160E in cash). Very nice hotel, breakfast patio, bar, salon room, about 50 meters from Ca'Rezzonico vaporetto stop (Line 1 only).
Our room was the 'pink' twins with the draped chairs and wood beams.
