Thanks Bob. I ultimately chose the Hotel Kristal Palace knowing that it was further from the town. I liked the idea of being closer to a trail that you can walk along the lake and the fact that the Kristal Palace was very accommodating to vegetarians. Now trying to make some decisions about your suggestion of Hotel Grones or Hotel Digon suggested by Dianedancer or others in Ortesei.
Are you familiar with the type of walking, hiking that people do in Ortesei? Specific drives to explore during the day?
