Help! Last minute hotel help for Paris

I am planning a last minute trip to Paris with my husband. I am looking for something romantic with a Soho type atmosphere. At this point all of my first choices are booked (Hotel D'aubusson, hotel madison, Artus etc). I would like to keep it under $300 a night and realize that I may not get what I am looking for at this point. I am considering Victoria Palace, K+K, Hyatt Madeleine. Welcome all suggestions!!!!

The Victoria Palace has been getting very good reviews of late, and it's in a good location. But have you tried the lastminute.com web site to see what might be available there?

Try hotel Select. It is 1/2 block from the Sorbonne. and I've heard it is nice.

We are planning on staying there in Sept.

Dear Deb....
Your budget is really important for your hotels..so if I were you I'll try the Hotel Saint Paul in the 6th, a 3 star hotel, with a lot of services, very very comfortable and so romantic..in the heart of the St Germain quarter...I give you its website: www.h-saintpaul.com!!!Have a good trip...!

not sure of current prices, but look into the Lavoisier, when it opened it was named Paris's best new hotel.
I believe it is more modern, rather than
old-worldish.

Thanks for all your advice. I think I have narrowed by choice to the Victoria Palace (4 star) or Hotel Bel-Ami(3 star). I am inclined to go with Victoria Palace as my husband 6'3 and I don't think he would be comfortable in a double. Is one location more convenient than the other?
