Help in printing train tickets

Could anyone tell me how to print the train tickets I bought online via TGV-Europe, please?
I followed the instructions of 'maninseat61' regarding choosing Canada as the ticket collection country. However, after I paid, I thought the tickets will be mailed and also be emailed to me with the option of printing them at home. This is not the case. The email I got is just a confirmation and cannot be used as a valid ticket. I am leaving for Europe on Tuesday, August 2nd. Please help...Thanks.

What did the email say? Did it say the tickets would be mailed? Or was there a link to a PDF to print your tickets? (it doesn't make sense that the tickets would be mailed AND emailed; should be one or the other.)

You must know what delivery option you selected, surely?

Did you select print at home? It's only offered for some ticket types. Did you select collect at station? Did you select send by post, which will not be a suitable option if you are from the USA?

What journey is this for? You haven't told us, and straigt away we'd have seen if that was an international journey so not self-printable, or one starting outside France so non-station collectable.

You probably use the c onfirmation number to pick up the tickets from a machine at an SNCF station.....call customer service fo SNCF (you know, there are people out there who think calling a European number from North America is immensly expensive; it really isn't in many cases these days and sometimes they have North American numbers; the bigger problem is finding somebody who speaks English (parlez vous anglais is probaly your best first question)....

Hi A,

>I followed the instructions of 'maninseat61' regarding choosing Canada as the ticket collection country. <

Did the eml tell you to collect the tickets in Canada?

Do you live in Canada?

I am from the US and chose Canada to get a better pricing (to avoid being routed to the raileurope website).
The ticket is from Brugge to Lille to Paris Nord. There was no options given as to the type of delivery mode. One box asked for a home delivery address and the other for the email address which I thought also indicated ' for viewing and printing., However, once I got their email, there was no tabs that I could select to print....The email said that the stickers are being print and will be sent to my address within 7 days. I,m at a loss at what to do.
Thanks.

Call them. The number from the US to get an English-speaking operator is 011-33-8-92-35-35-35.

They won't mail tickets to a US address as far as I know.

Thanks, StCirq. I called twice already, was put in the queue and then the line went dead.
Do you think I can have them mail it to our hotel in Amsterdam?

If you speak French you can call 011-33-8-92-35-35-39. They likely have a lot more French-speaking operators.

I am tempted to buy again via raileurope. Any ideas if I can dispute the tgv-Europe sale with my credit card company? or can I get a refund if I don,t receive the tickets by mail? The address I put in is a US address but to the country of Canada.

Hi ak

>The address I put in is a US address but to the country of Canada.<

My goodness.

Unless you purchased a PREMS ticket, you can get a refund.

You can have your ticket mailed to a European address. Inform your hotel that tickets will be coming.

FYI, you can use http://imtranslator.com if you can't speak a European language.

Before you do anything else, go back to the www.voyages-sncf.com site and look at the top right of the home screen. You should see a box there marked Vos Réservations. Click on that and see if it brings up your tickets, or a link to them. Also click on the box right to the Left of Vos Réservations, marked Votre Compte and see if there's a record of your purchase. If you find your tickets, great - print them (Imprimer). If not, print out whatever you see in those two areas and take them with you to a train station in Europe.

If you bought PREMS, they're nonrefundable/nonexchangeable. You can dispute the charges with your cc, but I wouldn't go back and buy more tickets through raileurope: I'd print out whatever you got from the SNCF, take it with you, and get to the train station plenty early. Show the SNCF printout to whoever's at the ticket window and explain the situation. In all likelihood you'll get your tickets. Worst case is you might need to buy new tickets on the spot (probably about the same as you would have paid raileurope) and can continue to dispute the charges with your cc company.

The whole point of the 'Canada' dodge is that with tickets self printed or collected at any French railways station, it doesn't matter where you live. But with this journey starting at a Belgian railways station you won't be offered collect at station, and nor for this multi leg journey will you be offered self print. If you've still proceeded and paid, tickets will automatically be generated and posted to whatever address you've entered. Probably, they'll end up in Canada unless someone somewhere in the postal service realises and diverts them.

Once printed, I don't think tickets can be reprinted without a second payment. They cannot be refunded unless you get them and return the original tickets. By all means try, but I think you may need to write off the cost down to experience and buy new tickets, this time at the Belgian site www.b-Europe.com or book Brussels ABS (=any Belgian station) to Paris at www.Thalys.com

StCirq : I found the the file at SNCF site, but it is still saying they have been sent by mail. I could only print the transaction, but not the actual tickets.

man_in_seat _61 : what if I never get the tickets? That is money lost?

Okay, so if I have to do this all over again, how should I buy my tickets and which website to use? We are coming from Amsterdam, leaving there Aug 15th, traveling to Brugge and staying there for one night before proceeding to Paris on the 16th. Pls help. Thanks.
