Help getting from Gere du Nord to Metro Ecole Militaire

We're traveling to Paris this spring and will be arriving from London at Gere du Nord. Our hotel is located near the Metro Ecole Militaire station. What is the best way to get from Gere du Nord to this Metro station? if we take the train part of the way, how far is it from the nearest Metro? Perhaps a bus would be best. We're open. Our luggage consists of a rolling 21" and rolling tote each. Thanks.

There is a bus which starts at the Gare du Nord and passes by the Ecole Militaire. That might be the best bet.

Here is a website with an up-to-date metro map to give you an idea of where you need to go...
www.ratp.fr

If you were to fold the map into quadrants, Gare du Nord is in the top part of the map just right of the vertical center fold. Ecole Militaire is in the bottom left quadrant just below the river Seine and right of the Eiffel Tower.

If your luggage is easy to transport and you have a good idea of where you are going, you can take the metro from Gare du Nord to Ecole Militare. Some walking is involved but the metro is quite easy to navigate and help is normally very accessible.

If you just want to get to the hotel without a fuss, take a taxi. My guess is that a taxi would cost around 50-60 Euros for that distance.

Hi B,

If you enter "Station" gAre du nord and ecole militaire at www.ratp.fr, you will get directions by bus or metro.

A taxi from Gare du Nord to Ecole Militaire will *not* cost 50€ ! (that's a fare estimate if you are arriving at the airport)..

From G.du Nord, a taxi will be less than 20€.
