help! cardiff and where else?

i have a business trip to Cardfii July 22-23. i want to fly over on July 10th from jfk or Phoenix. I have never been anywhere but London. What are the easiest, cheapest places to travel to? It seems like the cheapest place to fly into is Dublin ( from Az or JFK-either one). I really wanted to see Amsterdam. I don't want alot of rushing around. I was trying to figure out how to do dublin, amsterdam, cardiff. I coudl substitute Dublin or Amsterdam for Paris. Should I book two one way tickets? I don't need comfort or luxury. i am a 58 year old single woman in great shape and little very low maintenance or cash.

Hi WH - Your best source for budget flights around Europe is:

www.whichbudget.com

BMI currently have 'free' flights (- pay only taxes/fees) on some dates in July between Cardiff and Amsterdam. N.B. They won't last long ...

Hope this helps ...

Hi W,

>Should I book two one way tickets?

Absolutely NOT.

See www.kayak.com for open jaw flights. Click "MultiCity".

How about Edinburgh ? You can get cheap tickets with bmibaby if you book early - www.bmibaby.com.

Hi,

You must be over for the harp concert at the WMC? Well cardiff can be beautiful in the summer and I am sure you will enjoy our pubs, restaurants, castles museums and parks...and shopping if you are so inclined!

To answer your query my recommendation would be to fly to Amsterdam, and then fly on to Cardiff from there. Dublin is a lovely city too, but of the two I think Amsterdam is better, and I think the flights between Amsterdam and Cardiff are cheaper too.
